1. Folded coal granular activated carbon

Coal-based granular activated carbon is made of high-quality anthracite as raw material, refined by advanced technology, and the appearance is black amorphous particles. It has the advantages of developed void structure, large specific surface area, strong adsorption capacity, high mechanical strength, low bed resistance, good chemical stability, easy regeneration, and durability.

 

2. Folded rice husk activated carbon

Rice husks produced during threshing of rice are often thrown away as waste, and researchers report today that they have developed a technique for using rice husks to make high-performance activated carbon.

If the rice husk is simply heated and made into charcoal, the residual silica in the rice husk will prevent it from functioning as activated carbon. But mixing the aforementioned "rice husk charcoal" with potassium hydroxide and sodium hydroxide, followed by heat treatment, successfully removed the silica.
